Hi, I’m Kayla

Holistic Esthetician, Educator & Ayurvedic Skincare Specialist

I grew up in the Pacific Northwest, surrounded by evergreens, fresh air, and water always close by. Nature was never something I had to seek out, it was simply part of how I experienced the world. That connection has stayed with me, shaping not only how I live, but how I care for the skin: gently, intuitively, and in relationship with the body.

My path into skincare began at 18, working at the Origins Skincare Counter in the mall, but I didn’t get the job right away. I applied three times before I was hired. Looking back, I can see that something in me already knew this path was mine, even before I fully understood why. At the time, I didn’t know much about esthetics, but something about that world kept pulling me in. Not long after, someone encouraged me to pursue esthetician school, a decision that would quietly change the course of my life.

The school I attended was deeply structured and rooted in holistic principles. It gave me more than just technical training, it gave me a foundation. It taught me to see the skin as something living, responsive, and connected to the whole person. That perspective has stayed with me ever since.

Since becoming licensed in 2008, I’ve worked in a wide range of environments learning everything from waxing and spray tanning to advanced facial treatments across different product lines. I spent time in a women’s-only salon and spa, where I witnessed the power of creating safe, supportive spaces for women to care for themselves. Each experience added another layer to my understanding of this work.

In 2013, I returned to school to earn my instructor’s license, feeling called not just to practice, but to teach. Years later, that path came full circle when I returned to the very institute where I trained, this time as an educator. Since 2019, I’ve had the privilege of mentoring future estheticians, helping them build confidence, refine their skills, and connect with a more intuitive, purpose-driven approach to skincare.

Along the way, I was drawn deeper into Ayurveda, expanding my understanding of the skin through a more holistic and energetic lens. I’ve completed advanced training in Ayurvedic facial therapies through the California College of Ayurveda and studied Ayurvedic nutrition with My Vinyasa Practice.

Today, I teach Ayurvedic facials and advanced treatments, guiding estheticians to integrate this ancient wisdom into modern practice with clarity and intention.

In 2017, I opened my own business, creating a space that reflected everything I had come to believe about skincare, slower, more intentional, and deeply supportive.

During the Covid shutdowns in 2020, that vision took a new shape. I built a small treatment space in my backyard what I lovingly called my “she shed”. It was tucked into the trees. It became a place where I could continue offering care in a way that felt grounded, intimate, and connected to nature.

Working in that space reminded me how powerful it is to step outside of the traditional spa environment. The fresh air, the stillness, the closeness to the elements. It all became part of the experience.

My work has now expanded beyond traditional studio settings. I offer apothecary-style facial experiences for private events, retreats, and gatherings, bringing skincare into spaces where women can soften, reconnect, and be cared for in a more personal way.

My approach is never one-size-fits-all. Each experience is sensory, intuitive, and designed to support not just the skin, but the nervous system and overall sense of well-being.

I believe skincare can be more than a routine, it can be a way to come back to yourself.

Through everything I do, my intention is to help others feel at home in their skin, trust their intuition, and move through life with a sense of ease, confidence, and connection.
